Tina Shadix RoddenberyTina Shadix Roddenbery has focused her practice on all aspects of family and domestic relations law, including divorce, custody, support modification, legitimation, paternity, and contempt since 1987. Ms. Roddenbery, a recognized leader in the Family Law Bar in the State of Georgia, is a popular speaker on family-law topics throughout Georgia, has published many articles on family law for Continuing Legal Education seminars, and is a co-author of family law legislation. She is one of a handful board certified family law lawyers in the State of Georgia, becoming certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 2014. She has been interviewed by CNN and other broadcast, Internet and print media regarding family law issues. In addition to trial experience, she has extensive expertise in resolving cases by mediation and settlement, having mediated hundreds of cases on behalf of clients. She is also a fully-trained mediator and late-case evaluator.

Deemed to have most exemplified the aspirational qualities of professionalism in her practice as a lawyer, Ms. Roddenbery has been named the 2015 Joseph T. Tuggle Award recipient by her peers of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Within the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar Family Law Section, she served as 2009-2010 Chair of the Family Law Section, has sat on the State Bar Board of Governors since 1995, and is a past president of the Younger Lawyers Division. Ms. Roddenbery is one of 36 fellows and is the Vice-President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a highly respected organization comprised of the top family law practitioners in the State. Ms. Roddenbery is a master in the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court and a Fellow of the Litigation Council of America, an invitation only trial lawyer honorary society.

Ms. Roddenbery is consistently recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer by her peers (as reported in Atlanta Magazine) and as a Georgia Legal Elite (as reported in Georgia Trend Magazine) and her peers also recognized her for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. Since 1997, she has consistently achieved an AV rating from her peers, the highest rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed on the Registry of Preeminent Lawyers. Since 2009, she has been consistently named one of the top 50 women attorneys in Georgia by Atlanta Magazine.

Ms. Roddenbery also served as President of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and on the Advisory Board for Atlanta Legal Aid Society. She served from 2010 to 2016 on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Continuing Judicial Education (ICJE) which bears primary responsibility for basic training and continuing education of elected officials, court support personnel, and volunteer agents of the State’s judicial branch.

Most recently, Ms. Roddenbery was accepted as an International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) Fellow. IAML membership is by invitation only and requires a rigorous process designed to ensure that membership is limited to only the most experienced and skilled family law specialist in their countries upholding the high standards of expertise within IAML. She is a National Board Certified Family Trial Lawyer by the National Board of Legal Specialty and a Ross Adams Award Recipient.

A 1984 cum laude graduate of The University of Georgia (UGA), Ms. Roddenbery earned her law degree from UGA in 1987.

Ms. Roddenbery is involved with her children’s schools, having formerly served on the Board of The Schenck School and the Board of Trinity School.
