Erik Chambers – Associate
Erik has wanted to practice family law since he was a child and witnessed his aunt gain custody of, and eventually adopt, his cousin. Through this and other personal experiences, Erik understands and is sensitive to the difficult nature of domestic disputes. His goal is to be a successful and passionate advocate for his clients.
Erik has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2011 and is a member of the Bar’s Family Law Section. Erik is also a member of the Family Law, and Litigation Sections of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court. In 2016, he participated in the Atlanta Bar Association Production of a Courthouse Line XII.
Erik earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2008 from Georgia College & State University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Erik was a member of the National Order of the Barristers and the Moot Court Board. Erik was a semifinalist in the 2009 Russell Oral Argument Competition and competed in the 2010 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition where his team was the Southeast Super Regional Champion and in the 2010 Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition where his team advanced to the semifinals and Erik was named the third best Oralist. Erik was also on the championship team of the 2010 Hulsey-Kimbrell Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Erik was a pupil of the Chattahoochee Inn of Court and was a Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
